From the entomologist's studio to my latest shirt, exploring the busy but ordered, symmetrical energy of exotic bugs. A perfect space to not only explore the fascination of forms, but the farther reaches of colour
- madder reds, oxide greens, cinnamon, phthalocyanin blue & rose pink, with darker hues interposing. There is an ongoing preoccupation with the meticulousness & devotion of these classic zoological depictions, that are highly accomplished, yet modest in their intent
- simply to record, as faithfully as possible. One might say that such things are unconsciously beautiful. ' Jagger' single button cuff.
