Product Description

The tail feathers of peacocks were very popular in motifs created by the aesthetic movement with its 'art for art's sake' priority & emphasis on beauty & sensuality. Used by designers such as William Morris & Arthur Silver, peacock themed designs became synonymous with Liberty & here I pay tribute to the enduring power of the peacock tail with its majesty & extravagance, its flexibility to be pushed towards abstraction whilst retaining its distinctiveness, in a design laser etched into real iridescent grey mother of pearl.
