The intensely rich magenta flowers & contrasting silvery leaves make Lychnis coronaria ‘ Atrosanguinea’ an excellent garden plant & cut flower. It will gently self sow – perfect for the front of the border.

Lychnis are easy & reliable garden varieties of our wild campions, these flower all summer long with minimal TLC.

Genus: Lychnis Variety coronaria ' Atrosanguinea' (Agrostemma coronaria, Corn rose, Campion, Crown of the Field) Type: Perennial Sowing seed: Sow March-April indoors in trays of good compost, and/or sow direct August-September. Site: Fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
Height:
90cm (3ft) Spacing: Plant 40-50cm apart. Hardiness: Hardy Care tips: Cut back in autumn. Perfect for coastal gardens. These are short-lived perennials, & will self sow. Flowers: ❀ June
- August For the vase: Lasts 5-7 days. Harvest when one or two flowers are open.
