Prunus ' Amanagowa' (The Flagpole Cherry)
This Japanese flowering cherry has a compact columnar habit making it an excellent choice for smaller gardens. Dense clusters of fragrant semi-double soft pink-white flowers smother the branches in late April. The spring foliage is yellowish bronze turning dark green in summer & to shades of red & gold in autumn. Chalk tolerant.
