Three apple varieties grafted onto a single tree:
Apple ' Lord Lambourne'
A popular traditional English dessert apple, over 100 years old. Bursting with juice, the brightly coloured fruits are crisp, sweet & aromatic. Can be relied upon to crop both heavily & regularly almost anywhere in the U.K. A compact tree, ideal for small gardens. Season: late Sept
- Nov.
Apple ' Braeburn Hillwell'
An enhanced sport of Braeburn with better flavour & colour & more suited to the British climate. The fruits are crisp & aromatic & have excellent keeping qualities. Heavy cropping but best grown in the south as it needs a long growing season. Season: Dec
- March.
Apple ' Bountiful'
This dual purpose dessert/culinary apple is an excellent choice for the garden. When cooked the fruits retain some of their shape & are soft, juicy & sweet. In late winter it can be used as a dessert apple. Heavy cropping & very resistant to mildew. Season: Sept
- Nov.
