Three apple varieties grafted onto a single tree:
Apple ' Golden Delicious'
This well known dessert apple is a good garden variety for warmer parts of the UK. When left to ripen on the tree to a golden-green colour, the fruits are crisp, juicy & exceptionally sweet with a rich perfume. The flavour is markedly superior to imported fruits (often picked whilst still green, & then stored for months before sale). Resistant to scab & mildew. Very attractive blossom. Season: Nov
- Feb.
Apple ' Lord Lambourne'
A popular traditional English dessert apple, over 100 years old. Bursting with juice, the brightly coloured fruits are crisp, sweet & aromatic. Can be relied upon to crop both heavily & regularly almost anywhere in the U.K. A compact tree, ideal for small gardens. Season: late Sept
- Nov.
Apple ' Falstaff'
A very heavy cropping dessert apple producing red striped fruits. Crisp & juicy with a refreshing fruity flavour. Easy to grow & ideal as a garden variety. Produces a compact tree. Good resistance to late frosts. Season: Oct
- Dec.
Available for delivery: late November
- early May.
