Prunus insititia ' Prune Damson' (syn. ' Shropshire Damson') Dating back to the 17th century, this is the classic damson widely considered the best flavoured for culinary use. The small oval fruits have a strong, rich, astringent damson flavour. A reliable cropper.      Pollination: Self-fertile. Group C. Season: early Sept. Available for delivery: late November
- early May.
