Malus domestica ' Herefordshire Redstreak'
Dating back to the early 1600's this old English variety was at one time considered to be the finest cider apple. The medium sized red-streaked apples produce a bittersweet juice with a wonderful red tint. It is quite special for its high specific gravity & therefor high alcoholic content (11%). Heavy yielding but can be biennial cropping.
