Rubus ' Karaka Black'
With an average berry weight of 10g or more, this new blackberry produces some of the largest fruits we have ever seen. The long, firm, glossy berries are well displayed, easy to pick & have a good flavour. Yields in trials have been outstanding
- in New Zeal&, where it was bred, it is now the most widely planted variety due to its exceptional performance. The canes are moderately vigorous & although spiny are fairly easy to manage. Ripens early in the season & has a long cropping period, producing high quality fruit for six weeks. Plant 1.8m (6ft) apart.
