Prunus domestica ' Rivers' Early Prolific'
An exceptionally good dessert/culinary plum rated by the Victorian fruit enthusiast Hogg as “a great bearer & very hardy, rarely ever missing a crop.” The fruits are of similar quality to Marjorie’s Seedling but smaller & earlier ripening. Delicious when fully ripe with sweet, juicy, golden flesh. An excellent choice for areas that suffer from spring frosts.
