- Fast & effective replacement of lost water & body salts DIORALYTE is recommended for the replacement of essential water & salt loss in infants, children & adults from whatever cause & in the treatment of watery diarrhoea of various causes. Early use is important to avoid dehydration, particularly in the young & elderly. Always make sure that each sachet is dissolved in 200 ml (7fl oz) of water. If more than the recommended amount of water is used, the solution will be too weak & not have the most effective concentration for water & salt absorption. If less than the recommended amount of water is used, the solution will be too concentrated & give rise to water loss instead of absorption. Warnings DIORALYTE may be taken if you are pregnant or breast feeding, but it is advisable to seek your doctor's advice if you have diarrhoea. This medicine should only be given to infants under 1 year of age under medical supervision. After using DIORALYTE you should not normally experience any undesirable effects. However should you notice anything unusual tell your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use after the expiry date.
