{ } If you already have a Wattson Solar Plus monitoring generation & usage, adding an Opti Plug smart socket is simply plug & play. Plug a multi-extension socket into an Optiplug to power a number of appliances at the same time, or use multiple Optiplugs, in which latter case, higher power appliances will be turned on with priority over lower power appliances. If you do plug a multi-extension socket into an Optiplug to power a number of appliances at the same time, the maximum power it can handle is 3k W
- the same as a normal 13A socket. Optiplug is an intelligent socket which switches on your appliances when you have spare electricity. The smart socket learns & understands how much electricity is used by the appliances that are plugged into it. Optiplug then only switches on when enough electricity is available for those appliances, switching off when electricity is no longer free. Its built-in intelligence minimises the amount of switching that takes place when 2 or more are in use. The smart activity optimises the use of your own excess generated electricity. Optiplug uses Wattson sensors to constantly measure the power being generated by Solar PV & also power in use in the home. Multiple Optiplugs can be installed in each home; higher power appliances will turn on with priority over lower power appliances. Optiplugs have manual override so appliances can still be used when there is not enough sun. Optiplug can be used with any device that uses/charges with electricity & that doesn
