- Cimicifuga racemosa Avoid During Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Herbs taken in theraputic dosages should be checked for safety & use during pregnancy & breast feeding in consultation with a qualified herbal practitioner. This herb should not be used internally during pregnancy unless prescribed by a qualified medical herbalist trained in the appropriate use of these substances. Caution: Black Cohosh may rarely cause liver problems. If you become unwell (yellowing eyes/skin, nausia, vomiting, dark urine, abdominal pain, unusual tiredness) stop taking immediatelyand seek medical advice. Not suitable for patients with a previous history of liver disease.
