Product Description

AEC Regent RT852 JXN230 (1947) in Red (1:24 scale)
- RT852 was the first example of the new RT3/1 body (with no roofboxes at all) & had been presented to the public at the Commercial Motor Exhibition at Earl"s Court in 1948. In July 1948, the first delivery of RT3/1s was made to Dalston when they received a batch of 6. In October, to replace their ST"s on Routes 81, 116 & 117, Hounslow became the third garage to receive them when a batch of 16 was delivered, including RT852. Despite its brand new 3-bay layout to the front blind box, restricted blinds had to be used because none of the new format were available, when RT852 first entered service on Route 117.
