Product Description

Dovecote Barn, Tetbury (Visit Britain 5 Star, Gold Award) is amazing! This delightful 17th Century property, set in a truly beautiful location within a little hamlet, itself just a few miles from the popular & historic market town of Tetbury is perfect for a family or group gathering. The property is presented to a stunning standard by the owners, who have created a wonderful holiday property which retains many period features, such as oak beams & an open fire while introducing many popular & well thought modern modificiations, including open plan living on the ground floor with under floor heating. The property is tucked away down a quiet lane & overlooks a private enclosed garden with the owners' gardens beyond, a small moat and the magnificent 16th Century Manor House
- Doughton Manor. Customers have certainly been raving about the property, with comments such as 'this wonderful house', 'perfect for the family gathering' and 'beautiful setting' all concur with our opinion that the barn is a quitessential English County Cottage and one which we are sure will satisfy the most discerning of customers. Wifi available Doughton (meaning 'duck farm') is small hamlet situated a short distance from Tetbury & is a short drive from the world famous Westonbirt Arboretum. Tetbury is an excellent market town, thriving with many events through the course of the year (including the famous Woolsack Races at the end of May). Of particular note are the many antique shops in the town plus Royal shopping in the famous Highgrove Shop and at the Duchy's Veg Shed. Tetbury, in our opinion is the one Cotswold town which many people don't know enough of & therefore often miss the opportunity to see possibly the nicest & most unspoilt town of all in the Cotswolds! Slightly further afield & for the more adventurous are Bath (30 mins) Cheltenham (35 mins) & Oxford (35 mins) along with many other villages & market towns along with National Trust properties & gardens. This location in the southern Cotswolds (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) is amongst the finest the region has to offer.
