Castle Combe Cottage
A stay at Castle Combe Cottage is a real treat! Not only are you in one of the Cotswolds' (and also England's) most idyllic villages but you are also staying in a chic, stunning cottage with super-swish interiors BUT you also get to enjoy the benefit of hotel room service from the Manor Hotel at the end of your drive! Wow! This cottage has just about everything; a period house dating back hundreds of years (possibly one of the original village cottages) and filled with character - fireplaces, lead windows and beams - it has been lovingly cared for. Inside is a contemporary holiday home beautifully furnished with spacious rooms downstairs and two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. it a real super-cosy feel, while the modern-cool dining room is a total one off to be seen....However, the link with the hotel is the real 'winner'. Specially arranged and agreed by the owner with the hotel, is the chance to arrange for Michelin Star food to be delivered to your door via 'room service' (in a self catering cottage we hear you say!?) Beat that. Whether it is one meal or every meal, it's there if you want it! This is a one off cottage that will leave you wanting more, for sure.ACCOMMODATIONEntrance through to lobby area with hooks and space for shoes, boots etc.Open plan Living Area across the whole of the cottage, with kitchen and dining areas to the rear. There are two seating/living areas, each with their own fireplace or wood burning stove. There are multiple
sofas and armchairs, there is a large flatscreen TV (Cable TV with Sports) with DVD player and a selection of DVDs. Digital Radio plus ipod dock. Kitchen, fully equipped with electric hob, oven and grill, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine/dryer. There is a stable door to the rear garden. A freezer is in the outhouse.Dining Room is so quirky and unique! Accessed from the living area or kitchen, it has a large dining table along with cool uplights creating a modern area. UpstairsBedroom One with super king size double bed (6ft) zip and link (can be two singles if preferred), wardrobe plus additional storage, wall mounted TV and a divine view towards Castle Combe's historic church.Bathroom with roll top bath, huge walk in shower, WC and double wash basinBedroom
Two, unique indeed, with king size double bed (5ft), chests of drawers, plus additional storage space, plus an 'open but ensuite bathroom with bath, handheld shower and washbasin. The WC is in a private room within the bedroom!There is a desk / office area on the landing which is plenty big enough for some work (if necessary)OutsideThe cottage has a private garden/terrace with pots and plants. There is a table and four chairs. As the cottage is within the hotel grounds (it's one of two cottages that are privately owned, but are within the hotel boundary) parking is off street within a gated and enclosed area. You walk approx 20 yards from the car park to the cottage.Heating & Electricity incl. Off street parking. Wifi incl. One well behaved dog welcome - please check. Children
