Woodwells Cottage, rated 4 stars by the English Tourist Board, is as perfect example of peace, tranquility & picturesque surroundings as any cottage either in Owlpen or anywhere else in The Cotswolds. This detached house, is set on the edge of a small woods, surrounded by the beautiful countryside off a small country lane
- this is is a real cottage hideaway! The house which is a traditional Cotswold style with good size rooms (rather than open plan) which give it a sense 'swallows-&-amazons'! We say this is as remote as you can get from the twenty first century in Southern England! Woodwells is a picturesque farmhouse built in 1877, set in the midst of a sunny clearing of wooded hills & at the end of the meadows. The house is utterly charming & an ideal family holiday home or place for friends to get together.ACCOMMODATION: A porch leads to the front hall. Elegant Dining Room, seating six comfortably. Pretty Victorian Sitting Room with armchairs, with flat screen television & DVD player. Kitchen / Breakfast Room, modern farmhouse style with a microwave, fridge/freezer & dishwasher. Large square table with a church pew bench plus additional chairs. Utility Area, washing machine, plus ironing board, iron, cot & highchair. Bedroom Three, with twin beds. Shower Room with wash basin & WC. Upstairs Bedroom Two with King size double bed
- fine Victorian brass bed, chest of drawers & super views. Complete with a wardrobe and Trouser press. Master Bedroom with King size double bed, chest of drawers & great views. Dressing table & mirror. Large Bathroom with free standing bath, seperate large walk in shower, WC & washbasin. Outside Although there is no 'designated' garden, it is hardly an issue as there are acres of woods & fields around this period building. There is a table & chairs. Central heating & electricity included all year. Ample Parking. Pets allowed, additional charges apply. Please note: Monday or Friday changeover.
