The property, which dates back to circa 1800, has a rich history as one of the main warehouses servicing the busy railway that once ran through the village. Today the owners have beautifully modernised the building to create a gorgeous self catering property perfect for families or small groups alike. Internally considerable thought has gone into every detail with spacious rooms, contemporary touches & high quality materials evident throughout, including an oak kitchen & very comfortable beds. Externally, the cottage sits in the heart of the village (moments from Forest of Dean's woodlands) & there are countless places to visit all nearby including a couple of pubs that serve food around the corner, a beautiful new cafe (wifi soon available) & post office literally on your doorstep & bike hire available in the village. The delightful heritage steam railway which still has periodic use through the summer, can be viewed from the courtyard (it stops briefly by the cottage)! In our opinion this is a real getaway gem with something for everyone to enjoy
