The Roost is a classic Grade II period cottage, set in the heart of Coln St Aldwyns, an area designated for its outstanding natural beauty & recently voted the seventh most desirable village in the UK. Beautifully restored, the cottage's picture box exterior hides a wealth of character features within. Flagstone floors, oak beams and character combine to make this a quintessentially Cotswolds experience. Built in the sixteenth century as a stable, The Roost has been refurbished to exacting standards. The Roost was built in the sixteenth century & despite extensive refurbishment, retains many features of a classic Cotswolds cottage: walls are not straight, ceilings are cottage-height, & the staircase is winding!! Outside, there are views over rolling meadowl&, & a wealth of countryside to hike or amble through. If you prefer to laze, the village offers a fine hostelry & a village shop with weekend essentials such as a Telegraph & fresh pastries.ACCOMMODATIONEntrance through to living room Living Room with lovely oak flooring & wood burning stove plus large comfortable sofa, armchair, wall mounted TV with Freeview & DVD player Delightful Kitchen / Diner well equipped with electric hob, oven & grill dishwasher, washing machine (tumble drier in outhouse) and microwave. Dining table & four chairs. Door leading to courtyard & garden beyond. Upstairs Master Bedroom with king size double bed (5ft), great views plus dressing area with shelving & hanging space. Bedroom Two with two single beds & wardrobe space. Family Bathroom a stunning room with roll top bath, separate shower WC & washbasin. Outside There is a terrace & garden area which is accessed down a path. One small Pet Welcome. Children Welcome. Cot & High Chair available. Heating & Electricity incl all year. Wifi Available & included. The owner requires a £100.00 Security Deposit before your arrival. There is sketchy mobile phone signal in the village.
