Product Description

South Africas signature red grape does remarkably well in the relatively cool climes of Stellenbosch, where long ripening allows the purer fruit flavours to come to the fore. This example is treated to 8 months ageing with French oak staves. Raspberry, cherry & mulberry characterise the fruit profile, while the varietys trademark earthy, smoky aromas are delivered with subtlety. Tannins are soft & balanced by snappy acidity. Can be paired with red or white meaths, preferably roasted or chargrilled, with flavoursome roasted vegetabled.
