A wonderfully bold departure from intense single-varietal unoaked Sauvignons, Te Mata barrel-ferment their Cape Crest with the addition of small amounts of Semillon & Sauvignon Gris, for a more interesting texture & complex aromatics. Straddling the divide between typical New Zealand Sauvignon & classic white Bordeaux, this wine is creamy, with blossom & toast notes embellishing the backdrop of citrus & guava-like fruit. superb with seafood & poultry dishes or as an apéritif, this wine will drink well over the next 2 years.
