Chardonnay accepts & reflects the terroir of the Carneros region & the fingerprint of the vintner. Fermented in 25-30% new French oak barrels & aged sur lie for eight months. During the ageing process, the barrels are stirred (batonnage) to increase yeast contact. Notes of pears, apricots & melon with toasted spicy oak characters are complemented on the palate by stone fruit, vanilla & hazelnuts. Full bodied & creamy, with a balanced & powerful finish. Enjoy over the next three years with chargrilled chicken or light fish dishes.
