Sangiovese makes up 80 % of the blend of this Chianti DOCG, from the highly-rated producer Poliziano. Formed in 1961, the aim of this winemaker is to use classic Italian grapes & a combination of old & new winemaking techniques to produce quality wines. Displaying lots of fresh red cherry flavours on the palate with structure & firm acidity holding the wine together. Tannins are modest & ripe, altogether providing a rounded, well made wine. Best enjoyed with cured Italian meats, tomato sauce dishes & lighter meat dishes.
