One of the premier producers of Cahors, the Rigal family have extended their operation to include vineyards throughout the Lot Valley. The region has many alluvial terraces that are free-draining & have great sun exposure, & are perfect for growing Malbec. Dense, blackish violet. Aromas of black cherry & bramble fruit, along with hints of anise & prune. The palate is bold & robust, framing juicy fruit with peppery tannins. Drink over the next 2-3 years, with chargrilled pork ribs.
