Product Description

Grown on the cooler south & east-facing slopes of Stellenbosch, this Chardonnay is fermented in Burgundy-style French oak barriques, around 50% new oak. After 9 months' maturation, it is blended with a small amount of unoaked wine for added citrus character. A rich & powerful wine, brimming with glossy, honeyed apple & lemon fruit, with hints of hazelnut. The deft use of oak ageing has added aromas of buttered toast, & a roundness to the palate. Best enjoyed with roast poultry.
