The 2007 marks the return of a denser style at Colombier; the nose exudes cassis fruit allied to smoky, mineral notes. There is a sweet, ripe core of berry fruit, with fine purity & precision. Intense with some spice, with a marked, mineral vein, the bright core of fruit captures an attractive freshness here, with enjoyment even at this young stage only curtailed by a fine tannic grip exerted to back palate. A very fine Hermitage where elegance & density combine.
