The De Bortoli estate is one of the largest in Victoria. The Windy Peak wines are made at their Dixon's Creek winery, & is sourced from sites in Victoria's Yarra & King Valleys. This Pinot Noir is made by cold maceration followed by warm fermentation. A medium-dense red colour with youthful hints of violet. Aromas are predominantly of red cherry, strawberry & redcurrant, which carries through onto the palate, finishing with a hint of spice. Best served with light pasta dishes, cured ham or goose.
