Elio Grasso winery make a small range of Barolos from a 3-hectare vineyard plot on their Monforte d' Alba estate, one of the finest in the Langhe. The vines have an average age of 30 years, & produce low yields of finest top quality fruit, which is fermented in stainless steel & matured in Slavonian oak barrels for 10 months. The result is a classically perfumed, broodingly powerful, yet fine-grained Barolo.
