Product Description

The Piedmont region of Northern Italy, surrounded by the Alps, is home to Italy's third most planted grape variety. Alba is one of the few areas in which Barbera is planted on the best sites & producing wines capable of challenging Barolo & Barabaresco's crown. Intense & concentrated nose of black cherries, plums, spice & liquor cherry. A palate with high acidity, exhibiting flavours of brooding dark fruits, liquor spices & firm tannins with a long finish. Excels when paired with strongly flavoured food such as red meat, tomato based sauces or strong cheeses. Enjoy over the next five years.
