Springfield's vineyards lie set in amongst the mountains & rivers of the Robertson Valley, in South Africa's Western Cape region. Planted by French farmers from the Loire Valley in 1688, the vineyards lie on lime-rich soil with rocky, clay, & sandy soil outcrops. Distinct minerally undertones are covered with layers of luscious passion fruit flavours, together with gooseberry & citrus fruit flavours & very fresh, vibrant & crisp acidity to balance the fruit. Drink over the next two years either on its own as an aperitif or with salads & seafood.
