Cabernet Franc is responsible for the best reds made in the Loire valley. They can be light & fruity; not dissimilar to Beaujolais & often chilled in the summer. If you want to drink some red wine with fish, they are a very viable option. A ruby colour with a nose revealing aromas of crushed raspberries & strawberries. A good structure & backbone on the palate is fleshed out with red fruits & undertones of herbs & spice. Drinking well now but will gain complexity & further elegance with ageing. Serve chilled as an apéritif or partner with cold salads.
