Product Description

Plan de Dieu is a small appellation in the centre of the southern Rhône, between Châteauneuf-du-Pape & Gigondas, originally cultivated in the middle ages. Domaine Durieu was created in 1976, owning vineyards established in the early 1900's, & more recent plantings. The wine's 70% Grenache provides a backbone of warm, bright red, jammy fruit, while the addition of other traditional varieties gives a firm tannic structure & a spicy uplift. Drink now or within the next 3-5 years, with rustic French or English cuisine.
