A frequently awarded Beaujolais estate specialising in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation. The wines here are traditionally weighty for Beaujolais &, to that end, Gerard Charvet practices extensive crop thinning to ensure maximum concentration in the harvested fruit. Intense ruby red, with a nose of notable power & intensity, with floral & mineral aromas. A full & rounded feel on the palate, with hints of mocha & violet accenting the raspberry fruit backbone. Drink now or cellar for 2-3 years, & serve with duck or lamb.
