Although Chile has historically favoured other red varieties, the Central Valleys of Chile are becoming known as a home to some great value, high-quality Syrah. This is a nicely balanced example, made with medium-temperature fermentation & only partial oak maturation. Deep violet-tinged ruby red, & showing intense aromas of blackcurrant, with hints of black pepper & spice. A juicy, fresh palate with taut yet forgiving tannins, & a soft finish. Enjoy with merguez sausage, seasoned lamb chops, or spaghetti & beef meatballs.
