Go in search of hidden treasures, me hearties, as you board for the night one of the capital's most historical 16th-century
...Snowdogs by the Sea, is an extraordinary public art trail that hits the streets of Brighton & Hove for 9 weeks in September.
...Board for the night one of the capital's most historical locations, a 16th-century explorer. Sailors can test their sea legs & experience what life was truly like on board the tough English galleon, the Golden Hinde II; a full reconstruction of the ship Sir Francis Drake used between 1577-80 to circumnavigate the globe. You will be split into groups & taught about the ship’s rules. Children will be dressed as Tudor sailors to become members of the crew! Brilliant, theatrical costumed actors & actresses will then teach you how to navigate the high seas. The on-board surgeon will explain & show you about how diseases, sickness & injuries were treated in Tudor times. Enjoy many traditional workshops & activities throughout the evening. After an exhausting evening upon the ocean waves, your young sailors can bed down for the night among the ships gun deck & then breakfast of bread, cheese with fruit & hot chocolate will be served.
