Ice recessed ceiling light with a crystal lampshade The Ice recessed ceiling light differs in many respects from ordinary recessed lights. First of all, it is not a pure recessed ceiling light, as these types of lights usually disappear completely into the ceiling. Ice offers a little something extra: It has a kind of lampshade (or rather diffuser) that consists of a small, clear glass panel, into which many crystals are incorporated. These crystals are not completely clear, but shimmer in a colour called " Aurora Borealis", in reference to the polar light. The crystals shimmer just as vibrantly & colourfully as that very same polar light when the light is turned on. In this way the recessed ceiling light becomes a light fitting that not only makes a great addition to living spaces, but also exudes exclusivity in restaurants, bars, & hotels. Swarovski crystals are not limited to the jewellery & fashion industry; they have also been incorporated in lighting with fascinating results. So it is not surprising that the Swarovski crystal lights have a special fascination. Daniel Swarovski, founder of the crystal company, was a glass cutter. At the end of the 19th century, he moved from Bohemia to the Tyrolean town of Wattens to found his company. Swarovski designed a special machine that allowed glass to be cut in such a way that artificial crystals could be formed. Energy efficiency class:A++
