Made entirely of plastic & spherical, it represents the prototype of the 60s lamp. Its original design also dates from this time. In 2005, Artemide, the designer lighting manufacturer for which Vico Magistretti designed this model, decided to launch a re-edition. This new edition has lost none of its retro charm. During his lifetime, the designer, architect & urban planner Vico Magistretti worked for the Italian company Artemide. Artemide is one of the world's most famous designer lighting manufacturers. Our own production facilities, glass factories & our own innovation & research centre form the basis for the success of Artemide along with our well-known national & international designers.
