The 3.6 litre fuel tank has a large top mounted opening which is easy to fill without spillage. The scarifying process removes thatch & moss from lawns & allows moisture & sunlight to permeate the grass roots. The STS40-S is supplied with two cassettes; the spring tine cassette has 24 sturdy tines which remove thatch & dead grass by raking the lawn & the tips to the tines are uniquely angled to effectively catch the tufts for a thorough finish; The fixed blade cassette has 18 steel blades to slice into the turf layers, this process will scarify but also aerate the lawn increasing moisture & improving drainage.
