The higher voltage 80v batteries used in these cordless mowers deliver more power but with a lower battery weight than by increasing the Ah. This original Mountfield design has the rechargeable battery being inserted into the side of the lawnmower producing a better weight distribution. Cordless garden machinery has grown in popularity due to the latest technological innovations in the industry. Battery operated garden equipment is quieter & more environmentally friendly than its petrol equivalent & there are also no trailing mains cables so you have freedom of movement around the lawn. The Mountfield S42 R PD Li roller lawnmowers are not only completely cordless but also self-propelled so you have that extra bit of power for going up inclines. The power drive enables you to cover more ground & with less effort than by using a push mower. The 1500w brushless motor produces the same power as a 100 cc petrol engine but with less noise & pollution. Built on a steel deck the Mountfield S42 RPD Li has a 41 cm cutting width & comes complete with a 55 litre canvas & hard top grass box. The height of cut adjustment can be moved to 5 positions from 20 – 70 mm. Start at the highest setting & work down gradually for the best cut & finish.
