Vertical log splitters are ideally suited to larger scale splitting tasks in a domestic or professional setting. The Mitox LS550 is an electric vertical log splitter which holds the log steady for splitting with toothed grippers. The log is gripped in place, then you depress the 2 control handles, exerting up to 5.5 tonnes of splitting force. The multi-split 4 way wedge can split logs up to 1040mm in length into firewood sized pieces. The splitting table on the LS550 can be adjusted through 3 positions depending on the size of wood being split, with the Quicksplit function enabling adjustment of the splitting table.
