Product Description

The Italian origins of the Warburn Estate can be detected in the choice of grape behind this lipsmacking red. Indeed, when the first vintage was produced in 2009, Montepulciano was not on the Australian register of grape varieties
- so it couldnt be listed on the label. Two years on & several miles of red tape later, Montepulciano has officially arrived Down Under! The 2011 was made by Carmelo DAquino, who studied at Charles Sturt University & gained experience at the 5-star De Bortoli winery before setting his sights on Warburn Estate. He started out as assistant winemaker but showed such flair that he quickly made his way to the top. With its deep plum & cherry flavours & gentle oak, the wine is spot on with lamb chops.
