The Laudet family, owners of Domaine Sables Fauves, have been producing Armagnac since 1820 & were among the first to realise that their region also had potential to produce finest top quality dry whites. This was thanks to Noël Laudet, the grandfather of the current owner (Cyril), who spent time as head of one of the top estates of Bordeauxs Saint Julien region. Cyril has now added dessert wines, roses & reds to the estates portfolio. Sables Fauves (tawny sands) is a dry white made from a combination of Sauvignon Blanc & treasured local varieties Colombard, Ugni Blanc & Gros Manseng
- grown in the estates best soils. A delicious aperitif to awaken the taste buds, its lovely, too, with grilled white fish & other seafood or salads.
