Domaine des Hospices de Beaune comprises around 61 hectares of donated vineyard land in Burgundy, much of which is classified Grand Cru & Premier Cru. Each year the organisation holds a famous wine auction which, as well as being one of the key events in the Burgundian wine calendar, is one of the largest annual charity auctions of any type in the world. This cuvee honours two doctors at the Hospices: Antoine Billardet, who worked through the French Revolution, & his son Charles, a surgeon in Bonapartes army, who devoted 50 years to the sick of Beaune. Its one of the most highly regarded Pommard cuvees in the auction
- 35% of the grapes come from Premier Cru Les Arvelets. Enjoy with game birds such as guinea fowl, pigeon or pheasant.
