The timer has a dial to cover 24 hours a day, split into quarter-hour switches. By switching the individual pins on or off, you can control the heat down to every 15 minutes. This gives far better heating control than other heaters that often only have a simple sleep timer, or a maximum of 2 on/off times on the timer.
