Product Description

Lewis Chess Set Discovered in 1831 on the Isle of Lewis in the Scottish Outer Hebrides, the Lewis Chess Pieces are probably the second most famous chess set design in the world after the standardised Staunton style. The original pieces, found by a local shepherd, are on display in the British Museum & the Museum of Edinburgh, but Jaques of London are proud to offer our beautiful, high quality replica Lewis Chess Sets, handmade from ground marble resin to the original specifications. This set does not include a chess board, but we offer a range of stunning boards which provide the ideal companion to any of our chess sets.
