This is an expert drift school. They only do drifting-style experiences so you know you'll be in the hands of the most passionate and practised instructor drivers out there. Many of them compete regularly and many of the cars lined up for these sessions are used in actual race events. This really is the business and it is proper! These bargain taster offers give you a short but very sweet insight into the world of drifting and the sort of moves drivers perform. It's all about having the right car and being able to balance that car using the steering and throttle. As you'll soon see it's not a case of swinging the car about it takes a lot more finesse and subtle handling to be able execute that perfect technique at speed. You'll spend time in the car having a go at doing doughnuts and classic figures of eight. The pros all make it look very easy but they're tricky to really master. If you nail a couple of good ones after you're time in the car you're sure to have THE biggest smile on your face and the sensation of getting the car to move like that is pretty awesome. This drifting offer also includes a passenger ride for you. And believe us it won't be a little poodle around the track you will be taken round it at rev counter busting speeds. Your eyes will be on stalks as your instructor driver links those drifts around the corners. An impressive end to your great value day out!
If you fancy flinging an MX5 around head to Brands Hatch and go drifting! Going fast in a straight line is great fun but sliding sideways around a bend at serious speed is just out of this world. It takes skill concentration and maybe a bit of beginner's luck for these amazing experiences in Kent. First up we must mention the instructing team at this Brands Hatch school. To give you an idea of the calibre of this Kentish school Chief instructor Kenny Lam is known as the grandfather of British drifting. And head honcho Rich Newton has many many years of experience judging drifting competitions (no pressure to try and impress him then!). As for the cars we're talking Mazda MX5s. Various upgraded bits and bobs mean these little sports cars are nothing like the ones you see cruising the High Street. Maintaining and running a drift car takes a lot of money and mechanical skill. The tyres are changed more often than you've had hot dinners - and that's hardly surprising after the likes of Mr Lam and Mr Newton have been playing for a few hours. We are offering you the Adrenaline Drifting experience which gives small groups of five drivers a great introduction to drifting with around 20 minutes individual drive time in total. The Drift Training is more intense and you can choose between 1.5hrs of individual teaching time on the 1:1 experience or join a four-hour small group session for four. The action all happens in and around a zoned off area of the paddocks. You'll start by learning the basics where you'll get a feel for the sensation of swinging the car out. Then you'll move on to mastering handbrake usage throttle balance and counter steer before taking it one step further to do full corner drifts at Brands Hatch. How cool is that! Be it one-to-one or in a small group you'll have plenty of time to get sliding and tyre screeching. We totally see the attraction of going to Brands hatch drifting - it's seat of your pants stuff for sure and there's nothing like getting the knack of the sideways drift action that just looks so stylish.
