Harry Bertoia Style Wire Chair (Pair)
This is a high-quality reproduction inspired by Bertoia's classic 1950s design. After teaching jewellery & metal work Bertoia joined forces with Charles & Ray Eames for the Evans Product Company & experimented with moulded-plywood seating. In 1950, he established a studio in Pennsylvania & introduced his famous ' Wire Chair' made from welded steel lattice work. The success was immediate & in the mid-1950s the royalties he received for these chairs allowed him to devote himself exclusively to his sculpting career.
