About the LTR occasional sideboard The LTR (Low Table Rod base) table is also known as the Wire Based Table. It is a low table that can be used as a sideboard in the living room, as a bedside table, as an original sofa table if several tables are placed next to each other. The table rests on the legs that became characteristic for much of the Eames’s design from that period. The table is neat & compact & can be placed almost anywhere. History of the LTR occasional sideboard The Eames’s had the idea that a designer should consider him or herself as a host who should cater for his or her guests & needs, & when they invited several of their friends for a Japanese tea ceremony in 1950 each guest was invited to sit down next to one of these tables.
