Tulip were originally a hobby for the extremely rich, they became the ultimate symbol of prosperity & wealth. In the 17th century " Tulipomania" took hold of Holland & a single bulb would sometimes be sold for the price one would pay for a house! Centuries later the tulip is still well loved & there are so many different forms. Although all are perfect for borders & containers & make excellent cut flowers. Silk Road Tulip Double Late Flowering Beautiful fully double peony type blooms on strong stems during late April & May. Height 45cm (18"). Supplied as bulb size 12+
