Product Description

Tulips were originally a hobby for the extremely rich, they became the ultimate symbol of prosperity & wealth. In the 17th century " Tulipomania" took hold of Holland & a single bulb would sometimes be sold for the price one would pay for a house! Centuries later the tulip is still well loved & there are so many different forms. Although all are perfect for borders & containers & make excellent cut flowers. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Black Parrot has been give the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) by the RHS for outstanding performance in the garden. Flamboyant dark violet blooms with curled petals.
